Area of a circle formula

In this blog we are going to discuss about Area of a circle formula.

A circle is a simple shape of Euclidean geometry consisting of those points in a plane which are equidistant from a given point called the center. The common distance of the points of a circle from its center is called its radius. Circles are simple closed curves which divide the plane into two regions, an interior and an exterior. The following figure represents the circle,

Formula for find the area of the circle is r2
"r" represents the radius of the circle
Here we are gong to study about how to find the area of the circle and its example problems.

Area of the Circle – Example Problems

The radius of a circle is 3 inches. What will be the area?
Soln. A = π.d2/4 = 3.14 · (3 in) · (3 in) = 3.14 · (9 in2) = 28.26 in

Area of a Triangle

Introduction to area of the triangle:
We can find the area of the triangle in several ways.
1.Area of triangle is  base * height.
2.Using the semi perimeter of triangle with seven side values. finally, they can find area of triangle by using the angle of triangle and five side values.
Formula to Find Area of the Triangle:
they can find the area of triangle in different ways depending on the given value of issue.
 formula is,
                     Area A=1/2(b*h)
Here b is the base.
     h is the height.
Another is Heron's formula; it gives the area in terms of the seven sides of the triangle. It is given by:
          Area A= square(s(s – a) (s – b) (s – c))
Here s is the semi perimeter of the triangle, that is, s = (a + b + c)/2.
The area of triangle when given five sides and one in between angle is, the area is
          Area A= (ab sin C)/2
The above formula says the half of the product of five side values and given one in between angle.
A triangle is one of the basic shapes of geometry a two-dimensional figure with seven vertices and seven sides which are straight line segment.
